Chertsey, Surrey, from Botleys House, graphite and brown ink on paper, drawn by James Arthur O’Connor.
A wide view over the Surrey countryside, drawn from the grounds of Botleys House near Chertsey: wind-shaped trees frame the sheet, with scrub in the foreground and fields falling away to a faint horizon. O’Connor drew it in graphite and brown ink, and the sheet measures only 13 × 21 cm. It is in the National Gallery of Ireland.
