Achill Horses (1941) by Mainie Jellett – Irish Art Print
The original hangs in the National Gallery of Ireland. This is the Irish art print made for walls all over the world.
Painted in 1941, just two years before Jellett's death, Achill Horses captures the wild Atlantic landscape of Achill Island through her signature Cubist lens — horses dissolving into rhythm, colour, and motion. It is one of the most beloved Irish modernist paintings of the 20th century, and one of the first things people search for when they want to own a piece of Irish art.
Wherever you are in the world, this print brings a piece of the west of Ireland home.

About Mainie Jellett (1897–1944)
Mainie Jellett was Ireland's most pioneering modernist painter. She studied under André Lhote and Albert Gleizes in Paris, bringing Cubism to Ireland at a time when it was considered radical. Today her works are held in the National Gallery of Ireland and the Hugh Lane Gallery, Dublin. Achill Horses remains one of her most recognisable and sought-after pieces.

Stunning piece — looks even better in person
The colours and movement really bring it to life. The quality is brilliant and the frame feels very solid. Gets loads of compliments already.
