Collection: Rose Barton
Dublin streets and quiet interiors — made luminous by one of the finest watercolourists Ireland ever produced.
Rose Barton (1856–1929) was among the first Irish women elected to the Royal Watercolour Society, and her depictions of Dublin life — rain-wet streets, park afternoons, the particular quality of light on Irish stone — are defined by tonal restraint, compositional intelligence, and a sensitivity to atmosphere that transforms the ordinary into the memorable. A major figure in Irish art history, still not as widely celebrated as she deserves.
